The Frye Festival is celebrating its 10th anniversary from April 17 to 26.

Founded in honour of the famous literary critic Northrop Frye, the Frye Festival attracted over 16,000 attendees in 2008. The Frye Festival is Canada’s only officially bilingual literary festival. Every year thousands of New Brunswickers meet face-to-face with some of the brightest literary minds of our times. The Frye Festival has hosted winners of all the major international literary prizes bringing globally renowned literary talent to New Brunswick communities.

Peekaboos playhouse and cereal cafe inc. has reopened to the public since February the 5th. Their new location is 37 Highfield Street and their new hours of operation are 9:00 am - 3:00 pm Monday - Wednesday and 9:00 am - 8:00 pm Thursday - Sunday. African Dinner Fundraiser Event

Where: Boys and Girls Club of Moncton, 15 Everett Street - take Cedar or Katherine Street off Mountain Road
When: Saturday, February 7th, 2009 - 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Advance Registration: Please register before the end of Wednesday, February 4th

With your family, with a group or by yourself; do come and enjoy our wonderful African dinner which is in support of Maurice Henri's Cameras for Healing.

The menu will consist of African-inspired dishes, from around the continent. It will be prepared by our team of local volunteers, for the joy of preparing our own food, and also to maximize the amount of money that we can raise, while keeping the costs affordable.

It is expected that 100% of the money raised from this project will be used for the educational aspects of the Cameras for Healing project thus directly benefiting the affected youth from Sierra Leone.

Maurice Henri will give a presentation prior to the actual meal beginning at 6:30 sharp. The presentation will be about his work with Cameras for Healing project, and include a selection of incredible pictures. Photographs will be available for sale.

Cost: $50 per ticket (cash or cheque only - made out to Cameras for Healing)
Tax receipts upon request: We are able to give a tax receipt for the cost of the dinner, minus the actual cost of the food.
