Moncton Youth Residences announced the launch of it’s capital fundraising campaign: Address of Change, on Monday April 20th. The event was held at Youth QUEST Central, 199 St.George St. Pictured from left to right: Denise Caissie; case worker, Kathleen Gibbons and Joanne Paquet who gave a touching testimony during the ceremony.

* by the way, there will be a pancake breakfast this Saturday April 25th at Ponderosa Steak House 956 Mountain Road. Profits from the breakfast will go to support Moncton Youth Residences Inc.*

Moncton’s smarts will be on full display at a community breakfast to be held on Wednesday April 8th at 7:30 at the Capitol Theatre to welcome ICF’s Robert Bell to Greater Moncton. Mr. Bell will be in Moncton April 8-9 to evaluate our city’s bid to be the 2009 Intelligent Community of the Year. Available in limited quantities, tickets can be purchased through tickets.moncton.ca

All proceeds from the breakfast will go to the Moncton Public Library.

A TASTE OF AFRICA
The Watoto Children’s Choir from Ugandan will bring their Concert of Hope to First Baptist Church (corner of Church & Queen) on Easter Saturday, April 11th at 6pm. This family-friendly concert features exotic African rhythm and harmonies accented by brilliant Ugandan costumes and inspirational stories from the church of Watoto Children’s Villages.

All are invited to the concert and a freewill offering will be accepted.

Hop on over the Moncton Public Library for Easter stories and a craft on Saturday, April 3 at 11 am. This program is for children ages 3 to 6.
